Stuart The Penguin showed up on my drawing board one day I had lots of other things to do. He was suddenly there on paper, being an arse to his friends. He kept poking me with, in his mind, hilarities, and wouldn’t let me focus on my work. I kept contemplating the scenario he presented, where a group of drunk penguins got hold of a crate of beer and some markers that bobbed by their floe.

I never meant to turn this into a project, it was just fun to draw something that just popped up.

It resonated with some others too, and three were sold to the same couple (last one I didn’t make a scan of) and I kept the one where he discovers the marker for myself.
