Monsterjazz at Moldejazz
Jazz musician Karl Seglem and I have met a few times, and every time we’ve said; “We should definitely work together on something.” We had no idea what, only that it had to involve music and illustration. And one winter he approached me with an idea. Live figurative drawing inspired by the sounds from impro-jazz during Moldejazz 2014. I of course said YES without hesitating. Illustration & music. The two best things in life.
So in July I left for Moldejazz, after testing out ideas in a few workshops with Seglem and me. Here we have arrived on stage, testing out my GoPro to capture my desk while drawing, and trying to figure out the settings and how to remove the image capture display. Which opened up for endless possibilities in giant projection fun 😀
A picture from an audience member capturing our first concert. I’ll post my own photos as soon as I finish editing 🙂 The two concerts were very different. Of course, it was impro. I’ll add more info here as I get the photos, and possibly a video of the show.
