Julebrus for 7 Fjell

A Christmas soda label, painted in my sketchbook on one of the hottest days in August.

On one of the hottest days in August I was asked to design a label for a Christmas soda. So I channeled some snowy landscapes and set to work.

The whole label was sketched, inked and painted in my sketchbook since I was on vacation and didn’t bring my fanciest paper. I also had to use my phone to photograph the illustrations and sketches for assembling in Photoshop and send to 7Fjell, but it worked out ok and I scanned them properly when I got home and replaced the PS layers.

Several printed versions of the Julebrus label laid out on a cutting mat

A few different versions before we went with red lettering and Bryggen as background.

This is a new website, so I’m still working on all the entries about my work. 20 years of books and illustrations take time, so bear with me 😉
